Well, mine is a long story as well… basically it’s the same as @DollFaceRosie’s… I love the books ‘The Clique’ and I watched the movie, the song ‘Here With You Now’ by the Clique Girlz was in it and I loved it so I googled the band only to find out that they split up. Then I read that Ariel was pursuing a solo career and that’s how I listened to her solo songs (which I love) and I watched all the ‘Gimme Moore TV’ videos and stuff… Then I went to her homepage and I saw this pic of Ariel with the finalists of the NMD casting… First I didn’t know the group was created by Ariel and thought that she simply had participated in an audition for this group. I saw the promo video on YouTube and instantly loved the song. I had it on replay the entire day and since then I was a proud NMD warrior XD Everyday I checked their YouTube account if they had posted any new videos or song clips, ANYTHING new… you could say that I was addicted :)
The anxiety was very high when they posted the video from their debut performance because I had already experienced it before that I got all obsessed about a new group and I loved their preview clips from their songs and when I saw their debut performance I was sooooo disappointed because they weren’t good live… not at all! So it was only natural that I feared this would happen again with NMD but after I watched the video I was completely blown away with the girl’s talent! I rewatched it like a thousand times until I had the songs stuck in my head for the rest of the week ;) I immediately told all my friends about them and some of them joined TEAM NMD!
And then came the preview clips… I dare to say I fell even more in love with this group after I heard them… ‘Good Enough’ and ‘Party Tyme’ were my favorites back then (I hope they release Party Tyme, Unaffected, Warrior and all the other songs they recorded but didn’t release somehow because they are so good!!!)
After Alissa and Camille left I was shocked because I thought the group would split up straight away… So it was only natural that I was sooooooo happy when I found out they had found two new members, Breanne Oaks and Lorelei Sinco! I couldn’t wait for the first NMD TV episode with them and of course for their first performance together! And I tell you what: I thought that NMD had gotten even better with Breanne and Lorelei! They were amazing and I loved the two newbies straight away.
And I didn’t thought much about it when I read in their announcement that Aliyah had left NMD (of course I was sad but I thought it was her own decision and that the group would find another member and everything would be fine…) but when I found out that NMD had ended I was DEVASTATED! I was so happy to have found a group which was so talented and good and I didn’t want to let that go… so yeah…
But when I saw that Lorelei, Kimberly and Breanne were at a photoshoot for the new group I FREAKED! And when I woke up that day the two members Helene Britany and Brittany Oaks along with the new name Dollface was announced I was completely over the moon! I didn’t think twice about it when I instantly created this twitter account to show them some support and I don’t regret one single day!
Their cover song is amazing and from what I can see from their videos and pictures the chemistry between the girls is great and the fact that they are signed and that they have shot their first music video (I can’t wait to see it!!!) is just awesome!
Well… yeah, that’s how I became a Dollface fan and I will always be one, till the very end!
